Come join Dawn and myself for our summer picnic & BBQ at Clarks Creek Park in Puyallup on August 11th from 11am-4pm. We’ll again have our “getting famous” chili cookoff. Bring you’re A-game! I’m again entering my chili which has placed 3rd one year and 2nd for two years. There will be games for the kids and adults alike. Try your luck in our single elimination cribbage tournament (just hope that you don’t have to play my dad!!). My brother Brett is the current reigning champion and I’m not too shabby at the game either

On September 29th with a shotgun start at noon, we’ll again have our charity golf tournament benefitting the F.I.S.H. Food Bank of Pierce County. It’s once again at Brookdale Golf Course in Parkland. I really need your help with this one! If you golf at all…please come out. If you don’t, I need you to help me spread the word. I need golfers!! I’ve already reserved the course with the expectation that I’ll be able to get 60 golfers. There will be a lot of prizes including K-P’s, Longest Drives, 1st place twosome, 2nd place twosome and 3rd place twosome and a putting contest. We need sponsors badly this year, so if you know of anyone with the ability to contribute, please have them call or email me J their business will have signage and other recognitions at and after the event.

On October 13th from 11:00 – 3:00, we’ll have our always fun annual day at Picha’s Pumpkin Patch. Free slingshot tickets, the corn maze adventure and everyone will be able to take home up to 15 lbs of pumpkins. Let’s hope for some good weather! We’ve seen a full array of different weather over the years and I think everyone enjoys the sunshine more than sideways rain (if my memory serves me correctly). I heard a rumor that there may even be some antique tractors to check out this year.
